CNE PARLIAMENTARY ASSISTANTS FORUMTinkering
or reforming?
Germany's economy is in a bad shape, and so is its economic policy. There are various proposals to better the situation. But they seem rather to tinker than to reform. Bouillon explains why this is so and why Germany needs reforms based on liberal principles. He does so by reflecting on several myths in political economy: Economic principles are value free, politicians can ignore incentives, universal rules are unbiased, knowledge is objective, and economic policy is the outcome of intentional plans.
