The Centre for the New Europe is pleased to
invite you to the first lunchtime seminar of the autumn programme, under
the theme “Whom Do You Trust?”. Liz Kendall of the Institute
for Public Policy Research will give a talk on “The Twentyfirst Century
Patient”, which examines the changing nature of medicine, patient expectations
and responsibilities, and their implications for the future structure
of health care systems. Drawing on one of the largest research programmes
undertaken in the field, Ms Kendall will analyse the various trends
in healthcare provision, economics, politics and society that are influencing
the care available to patients, and their own responses to those factors.
The talk will be of critical interest to anyone involved, or interested
in, politics, healthcare and the development of society in coming decades.
